Sarah Wheeler oversees all aspects of content creation at HousingWire. She is responsible for the award-winning teams that report the news, create sponsored content, work with contributors and coordinate events. Sarah sets the strategy for news coverage and priority topics, ensuring we provide “the full picture” for housing professionals to grow their business and succeed in any market. She serves as the liaison between the business and editorial side of HousingWire and regularly meets with industry executives and governmental leaders. Sarah is host of the HousingWire Daily podcast which has 1.3 million downloads a year. 

Sarah Wheeler's Experience

Sarah has an extensive background in writing and editing, from small newspapers to corporate communications and advertising. She has been at HousingWire for nearly 12 years, working first as our Sponsored Content Editor before becoming Magazine Editor and then Editor in Chief. She won Folio’s Top Women in Media award in 2016. Sarah credits her 10 years owning and operating a small home health agency with giving her critical insights on what’s important to a business audience. She holds a bachelors degree from Texas State University.
